Home Security, A Dog and Satellite TV...

I just saw Shawn come out of his room with a large pink piggy bank in his hand. He says he's going to count up his life savings and buy a new  flat screen tv. I asked if there was anything wrong with the tv he has now. "Nothing wrong with it." says he. " I just want the space that old bazillion inch tube tv is taking up in my room."

I can't argue with that. Shawn resides in the smallest bedroom in the house. He can barely fit his bed and alarm clock in there. "After I get my new tv straightened out, I'm going to check out Direct TV packages at www.localtv-satellite.com." I said I think he's going to need more than a piggy bank to get all that done!

Now that I'm thinking about this, I think we may need to secure the house a bit better than we are now. With a giant flat screen in his room, potential robbers could see that tv from the street and get some shady ideas. I think I'll mention home security kalispell when Shawn comes back. There may be something left in that piggy bank to fund a security system. At any rate, I'm sure Shawn won't want to rely on the dog to protect his new tv!

Inexpensive Eyeglasses - Zenni Optical is Your Best Choice...

I'm in the market for new glasses. I went for my eye test  last week and  the folks at the doctor's office tried to get me to purchase frames from them. I did not succumb to their advances. This time I'm going to try Zenni Optical. Both Manda and Quilly have purchased  eyeglasses from Zenni Optical and been well pleased. It's my turn now!

On March 13, 2011, Derek Francis did a Super Savers piece for WZZM channel 13 where he discusses the benefits of shopping for prescription glasses from Zenni Optical. Main points in his piece include the inexpensive cost of glasses and the flat rate shipping. After reading the article and checking out the accompanying video, I did some searching of my own.

Zenni Optical's website has a nifty tool that allows one to see what a pair of glasses will look like on. One can choose a model or upload a photo. I uploaded a photo. After a half  hour or so of "trying on" different styles, I chose this snazzy pair of glasses. I entered the information from my prescription and was able to add other features as well. I chose an anti reflection coating and a green tint. Since Zenni Optical charges a flat rate for shipping, I found two other pairs of glasses. The total for all three pairs came to just under $40. I am well pleased with my choices and the pricing.

Zenni Optical is your smart choice for inexpensive prescription glasses and sunglasses. You know what you want, now stay home and shop for it!

Introducing Babs...

This afternoon I came around the corner and ran into a pig checking out the flowers at the shop.

I don't know where she came from but she said her name is Babs.
Babs looked around and declared she liked the shop and would be staying on.

Babs also pointed out her favorite flower, Salvia-Mystic Spires.
Mike took a fit when she said they taste like chicken.

Taking my garden area to the next level with furniture

Guest post written by Christy Lawless

I take a lot of pride in my garden. Since I retired I've been spending so much time in it and it's grown much bigger from all that work. It's definitely the first part that you notice about our yard now when you see our home. I'd like to have a way to spend more time in it, even when I'm not taking care of the plants, so I've decided to put some furniture out there.

I went online to get some inspiration about what exactly I could do in my garden area. While I was looking through that stuff, I ran across the site http://get.wildblue.com and read through it some. Then I decided to sign up for one of the internet packages that I found on the site for ! our home.

I'm really excited about this great garden furniture that I'm going to use. There's a little iron table that looks a little bit like an antique. I have three chairs that didn't originally come with the table, but go really well with it. ItÕs going to be so cute once I fix the area like I want it!
