55 Words About the Good Old Summertime!

Flash Fiction 55 and Flash Back Friday!

For Flash Fiction, you write a story in exactly 55 words.
For Flashback Friday, reminisce about the old days.

During my 11th summer, I stayed with my sister, Peggie.
Peg had boy, 8 years my junior.
One day I told the boy to go ask for cake for both of us.
He did and was given cake.
I was scolded harshly for sending a messenger.
I received no cake that day.
Think I learned?

Flash Fiction 55 is hosted by G-Man and you can find more entries at Mr Knowitall.
Flashback Friday is hosted by Linda and you read more stories at Mocha with Linda.

  8. Great idea!
Enjoyed the story and the brevity of it :)

    A famous couplet in Spanish:

    Lo bueno, si breve,
    dos veces bueno.

If something is good AND brief
    It is twice as good.
